This onsite program will focus on learning the basics of Volleyball.
Students will practice a combination of drills and exercises that are designed to teach the basic skills and techniques of the game: serving technique, passing skills, sets, attacking technique, blocks, defense and team strategy. In addition to these technical skills, students may also work on their overall fitness and conditioning, as well as their mental toughness and focus.
Volleyball is a sport in which two teams of six players each pass a ball back and forth over a high net using their hands, arms, and bodies. The objective of the game is to hit the ball over the net and to ground it on the other team's side of the court, without the opposing team being able to return the ball. Points are awarded to a team when the opposing team is unable to return the ball, or if the opposing team commits a fault (such as hitting the ball out of bounds). The team that wins the majority of points in a set wins the match.
